What is Gerasene Call?
Gerasene Call is a discipleship organization focused on empowering followers of Christ to have Gospel impact within their communities. This is accomplished through inviting one another into the gospel message, initiating deep discipleship, and imparting leadership training to ignite a ripple effect of transformation that reaches communities for God’s Kingdom.
Why the Gerasene Call?
The Gerasene Call is rooted in the story of the Gerasene demoniac (Mark 5:1-20), a man healed by Jesus, restored to his true identity, and sent to share the gospel in his hometown. This illustrates the essence of discipleship: a transformative journey that leads to mission.
Our approach centers around four guiding principles:
Invite others into the gospel message: We proclaim the life-changing message of Jesus, focusing on transformation and evangelism.
Initiate a solid framework for discipleship: We build deep, lasting discipleship pathways that are easily contextualized and adaptable.
Impart training and tools for leadership development: We provide tangible leadership training with tools to adapt missional strategies to empower leaders in their mission.
Influence gospel growth and multiplication: We foster a culture where disciples reproduce their faith and their discipleship pathways, to spread the gospel message.
Gerasene Call is a transformative two-year discipleship process designed to equip church leaders to embrace their calling and lead their communities in making disciples. Structured over four semesters, each six-month cycle begins with an immersive two-day in-person intensive, where leaders engage in deep learning, practical training, and relationship-building. Following this, point leaders participate in cohort-based coaching calls, providing guidance, accountability, and support as they apply the training within their churches. Throughout the process, leadership teams work together to implement key tools and strategies, ensuring a lasting impact that extends beyond individuals to entire church communities.

Gerasene Call is a two-year discipleship process that empowers church leaders by combining mentorship and collaborative learning. This approach fosters growth in both personal discipleship and leadership, equipping churches to make disciples and transform communities.
